The Algebra I Credit Test is for students who have taken a full year of a high-school equivalent Algebra One class. The test affords the student the opportunity to earn a Seton math credit for Algebra I and to be placed into Honors Geometry. Please note that taking the exam is not required to be placed into Honors Algebra I. Honors placement was based on HSPT test results and is not related to the Credit Test. The “Sample Problems for Algebra One Credit Test” are similar in content and level of difficulty to the Algebra One Credit Test and can help the student gauge their readiness for the test.
Materials to bring on the test day: Pencils, eraser, NO Calculator. The test is 90 minutes long and students will remain in the testing room for 90 minutes even if they finish early.
