Meet Ms. Swinford
Ms. Sarah Swinford is a 2013 Seton Catholic alumna and she currently serves as the school's Honors Biology teacher. Prior to joining Seton Catholic, Ms. Swinford was a research scientist at the University of Arizona, investigating epithelial development and polarity, with an emphasis in membrane trafficking. Ms. Swinford attended Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University. During her time at Barrett, she was selected to participate in the Mayo Clinic Premedical Scholar Program. There, she pursued a clinical study examining the effectiveness of pulmonary vein thrombosis prevention in the epilepsy monitoring unit at the Mayo Clinic. She had the opportunity of presenting this work at the annual American Epilepsy Society meeting, and the study is currently in the process of being published. She graduated with high honors and earned a Bachelors in Applied Biological Sciences. Ms. Swinford enjoys hiking and traveling in her spare time.
