Sr. Joan Marie Madden Alumni Courtyard

 
Sr. Joan Marie Madden was a Sister of Charity who served at Seton Catholic Preparatory for over 40 years.  When she retired, the courtyard next to Library was named in her honor. This was particularly fitting since, in addition to being a teacher, she was also Librarian and Registrar throughout her years.
 
With the renovation of the Library, there will be two new entrances opening directly to the courtyard. With this new access, the courtyard will become a premiere outdoor space on our campus for students, staff, parents and alumni!
 
The courtyard renovation will include:
  • expanding the access from the Quad
  • installation of pavers and other landscaping
  • converting the space into one that can be used for events and meetings, and
  • most importantly, the creation of a new structure to house the original statue of Mary which survived the fire at the first Seton Catholic campus!
