Kudos to Shannon Ryan ’09, who is performing in William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" at the University of Dallas Margaret Jonsson Theater from Nov. 2-13. Performances of the haunting, somber comedy are Tuesday-Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Ryan portrays Maria in the play, which is directed by Drama Department Chair Kyle Lemieux and considered to be one of Shakespeare's most mature comedies. Joseph Waters '03, 8,000 miles away serving with the Marines in Iraq, enjoys chance meeting on his base with Arizona Cardinals Coach Ken Whisenhunt and other NFL coaches in the USO Tour.

Congratulations to Shannon Desmond '07, who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Seton Hall University and delivered the valedictory address at the academic awards ceremony.  Shannon was named a Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, was a member of the women's soccer team at Seton Hall and made the Dean's List every semester, carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA as a sport management major in the Stillman School of Business.

The Northern Arizona basketball and indoor track and field programs were recognized with 27 student-athletes on the Big Sky Winter All-Academic teams released by the conference office, including Andrew Belus '07.


Shannon Desmond '07, was awarded the Mills Prize for Academic Excellence, the only recipient of her junior class. She was also awarded the Mutual Benefit Life Scholarship for her academic excellence in the field of Marketing.

Gillean Osterday '06, was named Homecoming Queen 2009 at the University of Arizona. She is a senior, majoring in nutrition and will graduate from U of A in May 2010. After graduation, Gillean plans to pursue a Masters Degree in Nutritional Science and become a registered dietician.

Andrew Belus '07 and a current varsity runner at NAU, is off to Nationals after an impressive finish at the Big Sky Region Meet. He is currently ranked in the top three in the nation.
