Available Scholarships

Applicants must file the CTODP application (see above) as well as the Seton Scholarship Application which is due May 15th. Scholarship recipients are notified as scholarships become available. Non-recipients are not notified. General Endowment Scholarships are available in addition to the two listed scholarships. All scholarships are dependent on funding.

Donna Olsen Scholarship - Named for a Seton Catholic student who lost her long-fought battle against cancer, the Donna Olsen Scholarship was established in 1991. The school awards one $500 Olsen Scholarship per year. Essay should address the obstacles or special circumstances the student has overcome to attend Seton Catholic Prep.

Michael Eubanks Scholarship - Established in 2001, the Alumni Association of Seton Catholic High School offers this scholarship in memory of Michael Eubanks, class of ‘86, teacher, athletic director and dean who died in a tragic car accident in May of 2001. There is one $500 scholarship offered each year for Sophomores-Seniors. Essay should address service to others and applicant's Catholic morals and values.

Father Patterson Foundation - Named for Fr. Joseph N. Patterson, this scholarship is available incoming and returning Seton Catholic Prep students, who must maintain a minimum of 75% average (2.8 GPA), show evidence of financial need and demonstrate Leadership and Community service. Patterson Foundation forms are available at the office and are due by June 15.

Ronnie Felix Memorial Scholarship - Named for the son and nephew of a number of early Seton Alumni, this $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student living in Chandler, Mesa or Gilbert and is Hispanic. Applicants must have applied to CTODP and then complete the Ronnie Felix Scholarship application.

Catholic Community Foundation Christian Service Awards - Students must be in the 8th grade during the 2011-2012 school year. This program includes the generosity of many contributors who have established perpetual funds through the Catholic Community Foundation, whose mission is to help carry on the work of Christ by fostering philanthropy. Awards are available to all 8th grade students who attend either public or Catholic elementary school. The single criterion is service: Christ-centered behavior evidenced through voluntary service. Recipients are awarded $8,000 ($2,000 per year for 4 years) for tuition to a Catholic high school in the Diocese of Phoenix. In order for students to be eligible for a Christian Service Award, they must first be nominated. The Application and Nomination form is available at www.ccfphx.org. Students must be nominated by an adult who is aware of their service activity. Family members are not eligible to make nominations. Nominations must be postmarked by October 1, 2011. After receipt and approval of the Nomination, an invitation to apply will be mailed.

St. Timothy Scholarship - The St. Timothy Scholarship was established in 2011 to provide tuition assistance at educational institutions of all levels in the United States. Applicants who demonstrate a commitment to their faith, are community minded and service oriented, and have a plan for their future, may apply for this scholarship.  The value of the St. Timothy Scholarship is determined on a case-by-case basis by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee, however awards are typically in the range of $1,000-$5,000. Applicants must also have a cumulative grade point average for the previous year of 2.0 or higher.  Go to http://www.ccfphx.org for more information.  The deadline is April 15.
